Character feet position

I am new to Unity in general so this may be an easy fix I just haven't stumbled upon. I've been trying out the controller with several different character models. I have a very large mech humanoid model that is working great except the feet are position so close together it looks like it's going down a cat walk. Is there a way to have the feet further apart? The foot position on smaller characters looks just fine. I'm assuming its due to the size.

This looks like a proportion difference between the demo animations and your character model. The best solution will be to get your own animations that match the rig that you are using. You may also be able to use Unity's muscle settings inspector to restrict the rotation but I've had limited success with that.
