Using Custom Triggers with opsive controllers don't work why?

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone has had this problem is the opsive controllers are not detecting triggers. I have tried using bolt via a tutorial when you walk in a trigger item is meant to disappear but doesn't so can't you set up custom triggers with opsive controllers? It won't work with bolt or Adventure creator the triggers that is but I haven't tried playmaker yet.
 
Playmaker works with triggers but bolt doesn't and adventure creator triggers don't work with opsive controllers.
 
I worked it out. I had to put a collider on the actual base collider and ticked is trigger on the player character to make it work.
