Heavy item that stops use of other items?

What is the best way or is there a standard way to set this up?

I want a heavy Item/Object that Players can pick up in the scene, but when holding this they cannot use other items or weapons?

I think I'm probably happier with the clunkier option of not being able to switch or unequip at all, and requiring pressing 'drop' before any weapon/item changes can be made.

My first thought is when it is equipped it blocks all the abilities relating to changing/equipping/unequipping?

WOuld that be right? Any thinkgs I should be careful of if this is the way?

Was easy actually

The 'heavy' item has the state 'heavy' for example

All other items have that state which disables their 'canswitchto'
