Omni Animation is an innovative company in the animation and gaming industry, committed to developing cutting-edge AI-driven tools to enhance productivity and creativity of animators. Our current focus is on refining and expanding an AI-assisted toolchain designed for animation and motion capture cleanup, using technologies such as Docker, Jupyter Notebooks, and Google Cloud. We’re looking for an experienced machine learning engineer to join our team and take over this existing project, with opportunities to innovate and push the boundaries of AI in animation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain the ongoing development of machine learning models and pipelines in Docker and Jupyter Notebooks, leveraging GPU resources for model training and optimization.
  • Enhance and optimize AI-driven animation tools that integrate FBX and BVH file formats.
  • Apply signal processing techniques to improve and refine motion data, enhancing the accuracy and performance of animation tools.
  • Collaborate with animation customers to align AI solutions with industry workflows, ensuring smooth integration of machine learning models into production pipelines.
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability in a cloud environment.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in both local and cloud-based environments.
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models, particularly those suited for motion capture and animation tasks.
  • Provide leadership on technical decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a machine learning engineer, with a strong focus on Docker, Jupyter Notebooks, and GPU-based model training.
  • Expertise in signal processing techniques and their application in machine learning workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
  • Experience with 3D file formats, particularly FBX and BVH is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
