Version 1.3.3 of State Designer is on its way to the Opsive Store and the Asset Store.
When upgrading from before 1.3 with prefab-based GameObject or Scene SharedVariables, back up your project and run Tools → Opsive → State Designer → Upgrade Project Serialization again after importing.
This update includes:
- Adds support for Unity 6.6.
- Added SetCount, RemoveElementAtIndex, and SetAllElements actions for resizing lists, removing an entry by index, and assigning every element.
- Added WaitOneTick for delaying action completion until the next state machine tick in the GameObject workflow.
- Added an Iterator start index, an option to process the entire list per update, and a SharedVariable output for the current index.
- Improved compatibility with saved Iterator nodes by preserving their existing per-update iteration limits.
- Added dynamic SharedVariable support for fields declared with the abstract SharedVariable type.
- Fixed runtime node queries and graph changes modifying saved State Machine data.
- Fixed prefab graph refreshes marking unchanged assets as modified.
- Fixed legacy prefab graph migration and override cleanup losing references to the graph’s authoring layer.
- Fixed prefab graph edits not being saved before entering Play Mode or when explicitly saving the graph.
- Improved prefab saving to avoid reimporting the asset after every graph edit.
- Fixed valid unassigned SharedVariable outputs being reported as graph errors.
- Fixed graph window and node styles failing to recover when stylesheet assets were temporarily unavailable during import or reload.
