The latest version of State Designer is making its way to the Opsive Store and the Asset Store. For projects using prefab-based GameObject or Scene SharedVariables upgrading from a version prior to 1.3, back up the project and rerun Tools → Opsive → State Designer → Upgrade Project Serialization after importing.
This update contains the following:
- Added a maximum queue size to the Has Received Event condition’s Queued mode, with Drop Oldest and Drop Newest overflow policies. A value of 0 allows an unlimited queue.
- Improved Find to search SharedVariables nested within states, actions, and conditions.
- Improved Find so results refresh after state machine changes and matching states outside the current view are automatically framed.
- Fixed Input System press and release conditions allowing the same input edge to trigger multiple transitions within a state machine during one frame.
- Fixed the initial graph position when the starting event is attached to a state.
- Fixed List SharedVariable selections resolving to the wrong type or not persisting.
- Fixed sequential and Unicode text edits in SharedVariable fields sometimes being lost.
- Fixed loaded prefab variants and scene instances not refreshing after their source State Machine prefab changed.
- Fixed prefab graph and SharedVariable inspectors displaying stale or temporarily empty data.
- Fixed internal graph authoring components sometimes appearing in the Inspector.
- Fixed missing graph fingerprints on existing or migrated graphs. Affected graphs are now repaired automatically before entering play mode.
