UMA integration question - Can I use a humanoid avatar?

I wanted to use the UMA integration with Ultimate Third Person Controller and followed the steps given in the guide to pre-build the bones. I was surprised to see I could only select the 'generic' option and not the humanoid option. It seemed weird since it locks me out of some of UMA's more famous feature like the integration with IK and Ragdoll physics. Is there something I can change to get UTPC to work with UMA and keep the humanoid features?
 
The generic option is for the first person arms, but the third person view can definitely use a humanoid model.
 
With the Bone Builder option you'll need to ensure the character that you build has all of the limbs - the character manager checks to ensure the character has a head in order to determine if it is humanoid.
