UCC Generic/Quadruped support?

A quick question, I understand that UCC does support Generic/quadruped characters, but I just wanted to check if Behavior Designer supports Generic UCC characters i.e. if Behaviors that can be done by a Humanoid will also work for Generic characters?
 
Ok awesome. The use case I was thinking was for a Generic character to be AI controlled initially (eg. wandering/patrolling) but when the Humanoid character approaches it the Humanoid can use the Ride ability to gain control and at that point the Generic character is no longer AI controlled. Once the Humanoid "Un-Rides" the Generic will go back to its AI Behaviours. How would the switch between AI controlled and otherwise work exactly?
