Stretchy torso. Final IK?

(Please forgive the photo I have a hard time transferring screenshots from my boss's computer but the problem should be easy enough to see)
Has anyone seen this before? I assume it's because of final ik but I'm not sure. Any time he steps on something, or occasionally if he jumps, he does this stretchy thing. Once he steps off this spiked board he slowly stretches back to normal.

Try removing the smoothed bones from the Ultimate Character Locomotion component.
 
Does the integration scene work correctly for you? Can you try comparing your character to that?
 
Wow that's usually the first thing I do but of course I didn't think of that this time. I was using the regular grounder IK component, not the full body biped. Thank you!
