Root motion distorts AI upon death

When I change the motion type to root motion the character model i am using distorts upon death, nothing about the character was changed.
 
Hm, this definitely is happening for you in the demo scene too? What versions of UCC/Unity are you on?
 
Can you reproduce this within the demo scene or a fresh project? With Nolan in the demo scene it doesn't seem to happen. You're not using a custom rigged model or animator controller?
