Roll Ability - Keeping Momentum

Hello, I am implementing the Roll Ability for my player and noticed that my characters momentum gets canceled when triggering the roll ability (in this case I am using the roll only to be triggered by a fall).

Is there a way I can keep the momentum of my player? This isnt a huge deal, but does effect the feel quite a bit.

The roll ability uses root motion. You could disable root motion or use an animation that has a higher velocity.
