Problem with implementing Crosshair for Assault Rifle in UFPS

I have been following the Shootable weapon tutorial from UFPS to the tee.
When trying to setup the cross hair it does not work with UFPS in FPS mode. Nothing gets displayed.
I have been trying to set up the cross hair for the assault rifle exactly as in the video.
These are my settings below. kindly advise how this could be resolved.

For the crosshair you'll first want to make sure you've added the UI objects from the Scene Setup Manager. From there you can specify the crosshairs under the UI foldout of the Item component on the weapon.
