My agent doesn't shoot at the character

Is that version 2 or 3 of the character controller? Based on your video it looks like it's version 2. Only version 3 is supported now and the tutorial video is accurate for version 3 which may be why you are having issues.

I did this from the video with version 2.

Ok, unfortunately version 2 is no longer supported so for continued support please update to version 3.

Why am I doing everything according to the video and the documentation and it doesn't work? I understand that the third version is supported but I don't have the money for the third version
 
There were many structural changes in version 3 and I no longer remember the common pitfalls of version 2 since that was about 3 years ago now. I can say though that the video from version 3 is accurate and if you follow it step by step it will work.
 
For my part the free screenshare offer still stands, regardless of the UCC version ! If you're not fond of the idea then I'll take a closer look at it on my V2 project and see if I can make a quick video example.

I think the reason is probably this. I don't use the ultimate build. But from the first person

I can't turn on the third face.

To make it work for me, I'll have to buy the full version of the controller.

Because the prefab Aiden works. And the new character doesn't

The asset store page says that the asset needs either UCC, UFPS or TPC, and while I personally always use the Third Person Combat scheme only for them you can in any way create NPCs with either the first or third person perspective. I'll make a quick test on my V2 project and will let you know.

@Lva Phew, what I would have expected to be an easy test turned into an evening-long experimentation 😮‍💨 I ended up with a working agent after so many tries and fiddling around, but need to stop here for tonight and can't make you a video right now.

I have several possible leads for you :
-First, and I know it might sound stupid, please check if your agent has bullets in his inventory - I personally lost a fair amount of time because of that basic mistake !
-Next, before trying to have the agent perform his AI behavior, disable his Behavior Tree and Deathmatch Agent components and try to make him fire his rifle by going to his Use ability and setting its Start Type to Automatic. If he stays stuck in an aiming pose without actually firing, then you're gonna have to compare your weapon settings with Aydan's rifle.
-Last but not least, make sure your agent has two Use abilities, one for Slot 0 and the other for Slot 1, like Aydan (see the attached screenshot). It may sound strange, and maybe you have no intention of using any left-handed weapon, but I assure you that I saw a working agent no longer being able to fire when I removed his Slot 1 Use ability.

I also have one question for you since I don't have the FPS-only version of the asset - on the Item tab of the Character Manager, do you have a Third Person section ?

In any case I hope that all of this helps and that you'll be able to fix your agent with the info I brought you. If you can't then the offer for a screenshare still stands, and I'll make you a video tomorrow evening if you need.
