Inventory Loadout not matching Input Actions

I think I have this set right but correct me where I'm wrong..

Shouldn't this mean that key 1 would equip the Knife, 2 the Pistol, 3 Shotgun, 4 Rifle, etc?

For whatever reason when playing everything is shifted by one key, ie Key 2 (Knife) through Key 5 (Rifle).

Also the D-Pad is shifted by the same 1 slot.. Up doesn't do anything, Left/Key2 equips Knife, Down/Key3 is Shotgun, Right/Key4 is Rifle.



Am I completely confused in how this is supposed to work?
 
Hi, my first guess is that you have an empty slot. Could you please share screenshots of your Inventory and Item Set Manager components at runtime to confirm that ?
 
I removed a few of the weapons while working this morning, but the combat knife is still there - should correspond to key 1/dpad up but is still doing the same thing, key 2/dpad left.

Okay so this confirms what I suspected, your slot 0 (actual first slot) in Item Set Manager is empty. Take a look at your Item Rule file, there should be a boo called "Allow Empty Item Set", see if unchecking it solves the issue.
 
Apologies, so I re-added the missing weapons and while now the keys work properly / are no longer shifted, key 4 // DPad Right don't work at all. Any idea?

Maybe this is an issue with your rifle weapon, could you switch its position in the list with any other item to make sure of that ?
