Dodge Ability

I'm not a programmer so I have no idea how to code. I use Playmaker for visual scripting.

How can you set up the Dodge ability to only work backwards? Basically the player presses the Dodge key and the character will jump backwards X distance. I'm using Third Person Adventure for the Movement Type on the Character Locomotion. With the current settings the character will jump backwards once then when you press dodge the character will jump to the side. I don't want to the character movement to have any effect with the dodge. I want the dodge to only work backwards.

This is not currently possible without scripting. I have added it to my list to allow you to choose which direction it works in.
 
I try not to give ETAs because things like this are so hard to accurately predict.
 
That is based on root motion so if you replace the animations then you'll be able to increase the distance.
