The Third Person Controller is integrated with Behavior Designer to allow your character to be controlled by an AI within behavior trees. For those who are new to behavior trees, AAA games use behavior trees to create a lifelike AI. The full integration task list is available on the Behavior Designer documentation page. If your character is going to be used for AI then it does not need to respond to human player input. Therefore the PlayerInput component does not need to be added to the character. The Character Builder will not add the PlayerInput component if the Is AI Agent option is enabled.
